About Me
I am an upcoming music director from the South Indian Film Industry (kollywood). My first debut album Kaatru with a collaboration of 22 top class play back singers released by HMV, gave me a wide recognition. Following that, I did music for nearly 15 albums and four locally produced movies in Canada including Medhuvaga Unnai Thottu. my latest movie was Megam, a south Indian Tamil movie which played for 100 days in Tamil Nadu. Ravipriyan has recently scored music for an english movie called THE STRIP MALL, along with two western composers. The movie is directed by Vinod Venkatraman, and has already won the Hololulu award for best film making, and is expected to be released soon. Currently, Ravipriyan is composing music for a Hindi movie, directed by Sammar who has been associated with the Hollywood star Tom Cruise and Appache Indian. Six songs have already been composed and the recoding is expected to start soon. The production of this movie is expected to start in 2011. In the mean time, Ravipriyan is in the process of composing music for a Tamil movie, directed by Vathilai Raja, assistant of director Cheran, and Gangai Ameran.
